Opening date: 10/07/2024

Closing date: 05/08/2024

Businesses and organisations in Portsmouth are invited to apply for grants of up to £5000* to help underserved and marginalised communities access the bus by midnight on 5 August 2024.

The Easy Travel Access Fund is part of the Portsmouth City Council’s Bus Service Improvement Plan and one of the many projects designed to improve bus travel to everyone in the city. This scheme aims to support community groups, businesses, schools and charities in their work by providing funding they can use to help those who need it use the bus, this includes providing bus tickets and other initiatives.

*Projects that require more than £5000 funding will also be considered in special circumstances. Please email or call to discuss this further.

What’s in it for you?

  • Financial support: get up to £5000 to promote access to bus travel for those that need it in the city.
  • Environmental responsibility: reduce your organisation’s environmental footprint, show your commitment to slowing climate change, and pave the way for a net zero future.
  • Get your community members onto the bus and provide them with equal opportunities to use greener travel and to connect with essential services and opportunities.

How can you apply?

Applications to the Easy Travel Access Fund will close at midnight on 5 August 2024. If your application is successful, we’ll let you know the week of the 19 August 2024. For any other enquiries please email Alison Buckle, BSIP monitoring & evaluation officer at alison.buckle@portsmouthcc.gov.uk
