Bredenbury Crescent and Blakemere Crescent – proposed reversal of one-way system

We are asking residents to give their views on a proposed reversal to the one-way traffic system on Bredenbury Crescent and Blakemere Crescent in Paulsgrove as safety concerns have been raised by residents who have slipped on the steep grass slope whilst opening the door on the driver’s side of their vehicle.

Bredenbury Crescent is part of a one-way system that includes Blakemere Crescent. We are investigating whether reversing the one-way system could improve safety and benefit residents in these roads. To do this safely, we would need to reverse the one way traffic flow on both roads so it’s important that we speak to residents in both roads to understand their views.

Once the results of the survey have been received and analysed we will present the findings and will make recommendations depending on what support there is for a reversal of the system.

To have your say on whether the current one way system should remain or be reversed, please complete our online form. The consultation closes on Friday 12 March 2021. Any responses received after the closing date will not be taken into account.
