Young people in Portsmouth can now benefit from cheaper bus fares up to age 19 thanks to the latest Portsmouth Bus Service Improvement Plan scheme.
Portsmouth City Council has collaborated with local bus companies First Solent and Stagecoach to extend young person’s discounted bus tickets to people under the age of 19. The Pompey young person ticket range launched on the 23 October 2023 and are now available on all buses serving the city.
The new fares are designed to make it much cheaper and easier for young people across Portsmouth to access training and education opportunities as well as getting to/from work and leisure destinations.
A whole new range of young person tickets are now available, including single tickets, return tickets, day passes, 7-day passes and more, all offering child fares for teenagers up to the age of 19. Young people can purchase tickets, online, on the bus company apps, and on the bus.
