Improvement works are taking place at The Hard Interchange over the coming weeks as part of a wider programme to maintain and upgrade the area. Most of the activity will be low‑impact, and you’re unlikely to notice the works taking place during the day.
- 9 June, 8pm–5am: Overnight closure to the bus apron
- From 15 June: Four‑week programme to extend the railings on both sides of the interchange, the interchange will be open as usual
- 6-8 July, 8pm–5am: Overnight closures of the bus apron
Buses: Services will continue to operate throughout. Temporary stand changes will be clearly signposted during the three overnight closures and during the railing works. Please allow a little extra time for your journey.
Walking: Some small areas may be fenced off while the railing works take place, but pedestrian access will be maintained with signed routes.
Driving: Access around the interchange may be slower at busy times. Please plan ahead if travelling through the area.
These works are part of a joined‑up programme of improvements at The Hard Interchange taking place throughout the year.
